Flash drives in the 1980's
My Commodore 64/128 has a 2 meg non-volatile
ram drive attached that I mainly use for downloaded text
files that I view offline. For this reason I find
it interesting that the newest laptops (Samsung etc.) are
either using flash memory instead of hard drives, or
supplementing the hd with flash. At a premium cost.
Certainly I find my REU (ram expansion unit) invaluable
as an alternative to my slower floppy drives.
My current problem is that I am down to o my last Commodore 64/128, and that I no longer have a
colour capable Commodore 80 column monitor.
If I did, I would return to using colour in
