Blu-ray with analogue equipment

AIX Records has 24/96 surround dvd's

Some are in 3D. I wonder if pcm out on a player to pcm in on a receiver along with video
in on the receiver
would give standard video on analogue set but

24/96 sound.
  • My analogue set
  • has good blacks

  • and none of the digital
  • problems
  • while 24/96 sound can be
  • prologic spread
  • across all speakers I am concerned about artifact free image and immersive good sound.
IE can a blu-ray player be used with non-blue-ray tv?

New Laptop (forwarded to Catherine & Brendan)

Ironically, an e-mail I sent in colour was praised as evidence of my new computer although this is sent to my inbox in
    colour.
the problem is that in forwarding that e-mail, colour is no longer there.
The villain with text is that since Windows 3.1, javascript is used instead of plain html.

    Text use

does seem to still be easier on my 1982 computer
