Blu-ray with analogue equipment

AIX Records has 24/96 surround dvd's

Some are in 3D. I wonder if pcm out on a player to pcm in on a receiver along with video
in on the receiver would give standard video on analogue set but

24/96 sound.

• My analogue set
• has good blacks

and none of the digital

problems

while 24/96 sound can be

prologic spread

across all speakers I am concerned about artifact free image and immersive good sound.
IE can a blu-ray player be used with non-blue-ray tv?
