television enhancements

We may be compelled to switch to a television that is not an improvement
in order to boost company profit.

I have watched High Definition television for several years both at a
relative's & in showrooms. My relative most oftem watches a standard tv
in his living room than his HD in his media room. On his 32 inch Sony,
there is not a significant improvement over standard viewing. He also has
to reset colour whenever he switches the set to HD (a green tinge
otherwise).

We do not know whether the Futureshop et al sets are showing HD or SD
upgraded to HD, or simply SD. I have received all of the above replies
when I asked what I was watching in the stores on HD sets.

To date, non-cathode ray tube tv's have pixellation and motion artifacts,
especially with rapid motion. Not all broadcast HD is more than upgraded
SD.

Yet in the USA, soon all tv's will need to be able to recieve a HD signal.

For whose benefit?

Ascii characters

When posting from a unix server, html mode cannot be turned on. IE all
instructions will be visible, rather than their results.

<u>underline</u> must be replaced by _underline_ as a proxy.
There is however a range of choices of {Characters} that can be |utilized|
to add to emphasis. [Although they could become gimmicks].

Posting by remote (fwd)

With the premise that <Less is more> when using narrowband web acess,
blogging from a Tin e-mail account with a Commodore 64
computer likely accomplishes the goal.

_How many more resources would any other Device_ require to
do the same thing?_

|So long as lowband dominates the real world| posting by low resource
platforms need to be considered.

Test send

This is to check if html is recognized or if _simple ascii_
is my only choice. Although the text cannot be shaped, at least extensive ascii can be used.

It turns out that html code only works when I compose in the form

Still, for a Commodore 64, it does create possibilities

Insurgency in Politics

I read a survey of a French officer's strategic
learnings from Indochina. Insurgency is not an open war.

Politics in the USA & Canada might learn from the same rubric

Intelligence about the physical geography & sociology is the insurgence's advantage. Attack it.

The insurgent's cause will through propaganda change as expedient. Do not encounter on his basis.

Create a grid of the territory & treat each zone differently.

Strive for law & order & a fair government. Propaganda that the insurgent is
blocking this.
Use force where necessary. You will be blamed
for incidental damage. Pay for it without red tape.

Have the patience & determination to take time. The insurgent can take forever.
When the insurgent rests to change tactics or move assets, attack.

He has not surrendered; he is only resting.

Most of the above would apply for example in Canada
to the imminent federal election, & the current preparation period. The lessons though apply
to all three

federal parties.
