Raw is almost Flac

The above two terms describe lossless files
Raw is the original image file before a picture is assembled.
Flac is the original sound file, compressed without
lost information.

The Red One Movie Camera

Uses the still image concept of raw for moving images

but some information is lost outside
of the visual range.

When this is done to sound files, it is pointed out
that inaudible sound bits affect what is audible (harmonics, etc.)

So the question becomes whether this
also applies to image information-If outside visual range
(eg infrared) affects what we can see.
