Animals out of Place

Here in Nova Scotia, most animals live in clusters

A few mammals are solitary & threatened ,

In Maine two summers ago (near Freeport), I saw what
by alternatives elimination I took to be a badger.

These creatures in the 1800's lived in Maine, but
not since then (according to internet sources).

I e-mailed the Maine Lands & Forest Dep7t, but got no reply.

If I was correct, that badger could have been a tame release/escape,
or the precursor of a new group.
Unless he has a badger friend though, he will soon die out.
